Mrs. Armstrong Needs You!
With the upcoming move to our beautiful new facility there are many tasks needing volunteer help in the Art Room until the end of the school year. What volunteers will do:
There are many materials and resources that need sorting, cutting & purging before we can pack them, then packing and labeling boxes. I have a variety of materials for Goodwill
for those of you with a vehicle. I have LOTS of fabric ideal for quilting
if you or someone you know is a quilter. When parent volunteers can help:
Parents who wish to volunteer during the school day are very welcome! Please EMAIL
me at least one day ahead of time so I can register you with the office. I will have packing tasks you can do while I am teaching classes. Middle or high school student volunteers can help:EMAIL
me, letting me know what day the student would like to come and I will confirm with a personal reply. I can use help most days after school until 6pm with exceptions (Wednesdays in March). I am available as early as 3pm but I know most students are not available until 4pm and that is a great time to come in.Thank you for considering this project!

From CCSD Teaching and Learning
The next content acquisition process will include K-12 Science and Social Studies. As we continue to establish a balanced instructional approach as outlined in the Cobb Commitment, we will consider resources that support this model and address the needs identified through our needs assessment and district data.
To ensure that teachers have ample time to review resources in Fall 2017, we are beginning the process now with the distribution of needs assessments to teachers, admin, and parents. Having this information early means we can schedule the Phase 1 committee to meet over the summer to conduct a standards alignment of potential resources in preparation for Phase 2 training and implementation in September 2017.
to take our short survey, and thank you!
