Traffic Update
The Cobb County Police Department has received numerous complaints from citizens in reference to parents illegally parking in neighborhoods surrounding the schools and blocking roadways while dropping off or picking up children from school. We would like to inform you that such infractions could result in police action (traffic citations, parking violations, etc....). The officers from Precinct-4 have been advised to patrol the areas near our school to enforce the rules of the road.

FREE MS Office 365 for Students
What’s Office 365?
Have you been receiving emails from Cobb County about something calledOffice 365? Office 365 is the online version of the Microsoft Office tools suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).  If you give your consent, your child can have FREE access to these online tools OR you can download the desktop/laptop versions for FREE, or both!  By giving your child this access, teachers and students can collaborate with each other, students can work on class technology projects at home, and teachers can even have a place to post assignments and review what was covered in class.  The next time you receive the Office 365 email, just click on the link provided to sign up and give consent (you can also give consent by clicking the Office 365 link in ParentVUE). You can download those tools to as many as five devices. Click here for more information.
Blackboard Connect
Click HERE for instructions to set up or confirm your account with Blackboard Connect, an avenue for local schools and CCSD to send messages and urgent communications to parents. If you have a current account, you will be asked to renew your password and information for 2016-17. Great resource!
Resolving Disagreements About Your Child's IEP
Are you and your school having disagreements about your child's IEP? It can be frustrating when you and the school cannot agree on what to include in your child's IEP. When there are many points of disagreement, it can become difficult to recall everything that happened in the IEP meeting. You as the parent are a member of the IEP team and there are steps that you can take towards solving these disagreements, and methods you may use to help you recall everything that is discussed in the IEP meetings. Click HERE to learn more about what to do when disagreeing on your child's IEP.
